1. Access the Appeal Button

You have a limited window to submit your YouTube monetization rejection appeal. If your channel has been suspended from the YouTube Partner Program, you typically have 21 days to appeal the decision. If YouTube notifies you of a scheduled suspension, you have an even shorter window of 7 days.

So, don’t keep it aside. Here’s how to appeal:

In this article I will quickly go through some important/useful things to know, in the case you purchased a monetized YouTube channel. Let’s get started.

How you get channel ownership (how it works)

To become channel owner, you will have to provide a gmail account. We will then invite the gmail account as owner. (this is the safest and best method)

Please, provide a “clean” gmail address, meaning a gmail address that does not have “bad” youtube channels connected or a “bad” history. Examples of gmails to avoid are, emails which:
– have connected youtube channels with copyright/community strikes
– have/had the monetization disabled for any reason, i.e. duplicate content
– have/had issues with adsense, such as youtube channels terminated, invalid clicks, etc…

If you don’t have an email, you can simply create a new one. That is perfectly ok.

Once you provide a clean gmail, as I said, you will be invited as channel owner. At this point, that’s pretty much it, since you can take full control of the channel yourself. But before I show you how, I suggest you to keep us inside the channel as co-owner until the channel has been approved to the YouTube Partner Program.

After that, if you desire, you can remove us. If you like the idea of keeping us (apparently some people do!) that is totally ok too. Of course, we won’t interact with the channel or anything. Our gmails are created just for the purpose of starting your youtube channel.

How to accept invitation and then take full control (and eventually remove us)

We will invite the “clean” gmail you gave us, via google brand ownership. You will receive an email like this, and you simply have to accept the invitation afterward.

The email will be from “google-my-business”. Sometimes, the email might end in the “Social” or “Promotions” folder, so check there if you can’t see it.
Accept the invite. After accepting, you will already have full admin control and have full rights, such as connecting your adsense and asking monetization.

How to get “primary owner” title and remove us

You can do this operation by yourself, but note that “primary owner” and “owner” have exactly the same rights. Despite the word “primary” suggests having more rights, actually both the owners have the same level. Anyway, some people ask us how to get primary control and remove us, and the answer is very simple. Check the image below

As per image, you need to go to your YouTube Studio. Then, click on settings from the left menu (1), and, in the tab that will pop-up, go to permissions and click on “manage permissions” (2). You will be then redirected to google brand account ownership, see image below.
At this point, just click the “manage permissions” button, then click on your own email and make yourself the “primary owner”. After that, you can remove us from the channel!

Just a quick reminder that, in order to become a “primary owner”, you need to be a owner or manager for at least 7 days. In other words, you can perform this action only 7 days since you accepted the invite.
